Our goal is to Make An Impact through the programs & services we provide to those who are in need. The following are programs/services we currently offer to help our Homeless & Underprivileged friends become self-sufficient:

Access Program

1. Community Access Link (CAL)

As a part of the Community ACCESS Network, CAL is a benefits assistance service that works through partnerships with other community organizations to help individuals and families in need APPLY for the following social service benefits:

* ACCESS Florida Programs (Foodstamps, Medicaid, TANF)
* WIC 
*  Florida KidCare 
*  Child Support 
*  Unemployment Compensation 

* VA Benefits 
* Clemency (Civil Rights Restoration) & Voter Registration

2. EatWELL

EatWELL offers access to healthy food through our healthy meal feedings and nutritional information (contingent upon resources).

Economic Stability Program(ESP)

1. NEMA House Envelopes (Budgeting)

NEMA House Envelopes provides our clients with the BUDGET help they need to begin changing their financial future. Our unique approach to budgeting involves the concept of “pre-spending” one’s income, or planning what to spend your money on before it's even spent.

2. W.O.R.K.

W.O.R.K. is built on the premise of leveraging our client’s Will to work against the Opportunities, Resources and Knowledge NHRC offers, W.O.R.K. is client-based and client-paced to ensure that each individual will develop skills needed in the following areas to secure and sustain gainful employment:.

* Job Skills Assessment 
* Job Search Strategies 
*  Applications 
*  Resume & Cover Letter Writing 
*  Interviewing Etiquette & Attire (when available) 
* Wage & Benefits Awareness 
* Workplace Skills & Decorum

Bridging-The-Gap Program

1. Family Reunification

NEMA House offers our clients the opportunity to RECONCILE with loved ones through letter writing and calling campaigns. Mediation support can be provided if needed in order to help get the individual back HOME.

Referral Program

We have partnerships with other local community agencies and will refer individuals on a case-by-case basis, depending on agency availability.

  • HCCH - Healthcare Services
  • House of Refuge - Transitional Housing (Women w/ Drug/Alcohol Addictions)
